Full Home Renovation

This property in Stratham, was one of three purchased by a real estate developer earmarked for the resale market. Homes in the area benefit from rooms with generous proportions except for their kitchens which tend to be small and narrow. The original layout comprises two reception rooms and a small galley kitchen on the ground floor and a family bathroom, a single room and two double rooms on the first floor.

Together with our client’s architect and interior designer we reconfigured the whole property. We created a modern home with lots of space and all the mod-cons that today’s home buyers expect.

We added an ample rear-extension to create an open plan kitchen / dining area. A wooden deck was built in the back garden extending the potential entertainment space when the full width bifold doors are open. The garden was redesigned and a ground floor cloakroom was cleverly concealed behind cabinet doors. The front room was also brought up-to-date and kept separate to provide an independent entertaining space.

Upstairs, the family bathroom was redesigned and modernised. The three original bedrooms were reconfigured to create two larger double bedrooms and a home office. The new layout also allowed for the creation of a landing leading to the new master bedroom in what used to be the loft.

In what used to be the loft, a very spacious ensuite master bedroom was developed. Custom storage solutions were built into the eves and a modern ensuite was attached.

The project was finished on time and on budget allowing the property developer to place this home on the market according to his schedule achieving the ROI he had in mind.
