Full Home Renovation
This property in Stratham was in much need of some TLC. It was purchased by a young family and had not been updated since the early 1980’s. Properties in this area were built in the 1930s and benefit from rooms with generous proportions. Though their kitchens tend to be small and narrow and this house was no exception. The original layout comprised two reception rooms and a small galley kitchen on the ground floor and a family bathroom, a single room and two double bedrooms rooms on the first floor.
Our client wanted to build a home that would fit their lifestyle. Their wishlist included two designated working spaces, a larger ensuite master bedroom and a ground floor cloakroom.
A very generous rear extension was added creating an ample open plan kitchen / dining area. A wooden deck was also built in the back garden extending the entertainment space when the full width bifold doors at the rear are open. The garden was redesigned and a ground floor cloakroom was added at the end of the entrance hallway. A home office was also built at the top of the garden. The front room was brought up-to-date and kept separate providing an independent entertaining space.

Upstairs, the family bathroom was redesigned and modernised. The existing bedrooms were reconfigured creating two larger double bedrooms and a small home office. The new layout also allowed for the creation of a landing leading to the new master bedroom in what used to be the loft.
The new master bedroom is spacious and now benefits from an ensuite and plentiful storage space.

The project was finished on time and on budget which allowed the property developer to place this home on the market according to his schedule achieving the ROI he had in mind.
