While our process serves as a roadmap for success, Mason & Forge recognises that every project is unique. Because of this, the team remains flexible and adaptable to embrace the individuality of each endeavour. This harmonious blend of process and personalisation is what sets Mason and Forge apart. We consistently delivering exceptional results that exceed expectations.
Insight
In order to fully understand you project, we will schedule a call with you. During our initial conversation, we discuss what stage your project is at, permits and documentation you might require based on your project’s specifics, scope of work, goals, expectations and budget. We will also schedule a complimentary site-visit so we can assess the site and take any necessary measurements.
Estimate & Contract
After our initial conversation and site- visit our team will work on an estimate taking into consideration all the information we garnered during our insight stage.
We will also provide you free of charge an appendix detailing direct purchases and additional expenses you are likely to make in order to complete your project to your desired standards. This information will help you create a realistic and comprehensive budget so you can make an informed decision on how you want to proceed.
Once you have received our estimate, we will set up a follow up meeting to expand on any points you wish to discuss, as well as to tweak and adjust any items that might need revising before presenting you with a formal quote.
Once our quote is accepted we will furnish you with a JCT contract (Joint Contracts Tribunal) which will facilitate the construction process. It will set out responsibilities for all parties within the construction process and their obligations, so it is clear as to what work needs to be done, who is doing it, when it is being carried out and the cost.
Preparation
During our preparation stage we ensure that all the i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed.
We look into necessary permits if any, advise and/or execute any pre-construction purchases, set up an effective supply chain, and allocate the necessary man-power. We also provide you with a disbursement and construction schedules and advise on any pre-construction matters that need attention.
Mason and Forge believes you should always be in charge of your project. To achieve this, we work guided by weekly valuations and schedule revisions. This means that every week you will receive a valuation and corresponding invoice for the work carried out during that period and that period only. This working method will ensure you are always aware of your project’s progress and budget. This method also allows you to review your project in a timely manner avoiding mayor disruptions ensuring that every part of the work being carried out matches your expectations.
Once all of this is complete, we introduce you to your project manager and get ready to start!
Execution
During the execution stage of your project, out team will keep you posted on all progress on weekly basis via the weekly valuations previously mentioned. We will also set up various channels of communication to make sure you can reach us when you have a query.
We make sure your site is always compliant with health and safety regulations, monitor temporary works and liaise with the council and building control when necessary.
Delivery & Review
Once we have finalised your project, we clear the site and present it to you in move-in condition. At this stage, we will go through our hand-over check-list to make sure that everything we promised has been achieved. We take note of any issues should there be any, and subsequently create a time-line for the resolution of these that fits your schedule.
Handover
Once we have rectified any issues identified during our review stage to your full satisfaction, we will formally hand over the project to you.
